Five boroughs
New York City is divided in five boroughs: Manhattan, Brooklyn, Queens, The Bronx and Staten Island. The five boroughs together form New York City. Queens is the largest borough and Manhattan is the smallest in surface. Most inhabitants live in Brooklyn but Manhattan is the most densely populated borough. The Bronx is the only borough which is part of the United States mainland. Most boroughs are connected with bridges. For more information about a specific borough use the specific headings.
